In the modern world, to avoid the depletion of natural resources and maintain an ecological balance, we as individuals all have a commitment to help in its preservation to ensure environmental resources will be protected and maintained for our future generations.
Nurture is ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 accredited, and constantly reviews its operations to ensure clients receive the greenest solution.
We have pioneered environmental initiatives to reduce carbon and improve energy efficiency and work closely with clients and suppliers to identify materials and techniques that minimise environmental impact.
We use electric vans which have zero carbon emissions where possible and 36% of our traditional petrol and diesel management cars have been replaced with hybrid/electric vehicles, with an objective to increase this ratio year on year.
We have replaced over a 100 petrol operated items of machinery with rechargeable hedge cutters and strimmers, and plan to increase this each year.
This has helped to reduce carbon emissions by 17.8 tonnes. The savings generated are ring-fenced each year and reinvested in additional battery powered equipment.
Biodiversity refers to the variety of life on Earth and the way in which plants, animals and micro-organisms form different ecosystems and react with the air, water and soil.
Nurture has the expertise to produce a Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) to identify, map and evaluate the biodiversity resource, and identify opportunities to manage and enhance biodiversity for wildlife and people.
Using a BAP to improve outside space, provides enjoyment, education and wellbeing for occupants and visitors alike and creates opportunities for collaboration and partnering with external bodies.
Nurture can help prepare and implement BAP plans and the initiative has been widely embraced among internal and external stakeholders.
We have worked with a number of organisations, helping them achieve their own environmental and corporate social responsibility goals.
